How to associate a WTDoc(with workflow) to a project task or activity in ProjectLink?
We use ProjectLink & have a few WTDocs with workflows. These workflows are activities in the project. We want to have the task be completed in the project plan when the workflow is completed. Is this possible?

Solr Indexing with PDMLink 11.0 M020
Just completed an upgrade from 10.2 M030 to 11.0 M020, and started the Solr indexing. Have just north of 1 million objects. Keep getting 460K w/o policies, with remaining ones staing in the 'remaining objects' category and never processing. Tried deleting the list and reindexing several times but to no avail. Just wondering if anyone else has had issues. Many thanks!

I am not able to checkin a part from Creo to Windchill
When I try to checkin a drawing from Creo. I get a failed event message stating the following
"
A security labels configuration error was detected. Report this issue to your administrator
"
I am quite new to windchill and is finding it difficult to comprehend the same.
The logs give me the below message
"The security label value 'abc' for label 'CORPORATE_PROPRIETARY' is undefined"
What am I missing?Please help

Finding new and updated files within a specified date range
We have our topics stored in several folders, based on the year of creation; however, a lot of the time our original topics need to be updated many months, or even years, later.
Is there a way to find topics that were modified or created within a specific date range?
*The search will need to span multiple libraries/contexts/products.
***Preferably, the result will be a compressed file with all new/updated dita topics or .htm files.

Where to create Access Control Rules? Context or Org?
I am in the middle of creating some access control rules and have the following questions for everyone:
- What are your best practices and considerations when creating Access Control Rules?
- At what level do you create them, context or org?
- What considerations do you make when creating them?
My first inclination is to create them as high up the structure as it makes sense. In this particular case I want a set of rules for a custom role called ENG Admin. Think of a Library Manager or Product Manager permissions but only for WTParts and CAD / EPM Docs. Since it would seemingly apply to every Product and a lot of Libraries, my thought was to create it at the ORG level.
I look forward to seeing what the group comes up with.

Unable to get my resulting objects to change state?
My primary business object changes state just fine but cannot get my resulting objects to change state. I done the instructions per CS124047, PTC Windchill help Change management transitions and refine and revise and still no luck getting the resulting objects to change state. Any ideas?
I have tried with all three lines, one each and the first two together.

qml report - Formats where referenced (drawings)
I may have posted this before - don't recall. Haven't been able to get help from PTC tech support.
Would like to have a simple report that shows for an input list of formats (.frm), all the drawings which reference the format. This is exactly what is displayed for a Format object on the Related Objects tab, Referenced By table. Note: From this table, there is no export list to file, which is the main reason we'd like to have this report..
Seems like it would be very simple but I haven't figured it out yet.

Rehosting an Additional JNDI Adapter with Windchill Rehost Utility 3.0 M010
Hi everyone,
Can someone help me with rehost utility 3.0 M010 on setting properties that would preserve JNDI Adapter configuration that connects to Microsoft Active Directory LDAP. Last time I was testing rehosting with rehost utility 2.0, all settings disappeared and I had to do manually the configuration of the adapters. Has this issue been fixed in 3.0?
I've setup the following properties in the rehost.properties file (specific to the additional JDNI adapter):
target.ldap.hostname.com.<company_domain>.<adapter_name>=<Active_Directory_Server_URL>

PTC WGM fails to Install on Windows10 after CPS17 is applied, It says This (Win10) Client Platform not supported
Waited for CPS17 which gives support to Windows10 platform for PTC WGM, But its the same issue as I saw in CPS14. Is CPS17 really supports WGM on Windows10?

Hallo,
ich habe ein Problem mit Windchill... Mein Arbeitskollege hat eine Zeichnugn (Explosionsansicht) von einem .PRT gemacht (alles super) und hat einige Folien ausgeblendet (dann gespeichert, auf Windchill eingecheckt etc.). Wenn ich die gleiche Zeichnung aufmache, sehe ich die ausgeblendeten Komponente wieder (und er auch bzw. sie wurden zwar gespeichert, aber nicht richtig).
Das zwite Problem ist: in der Explosionsansicht gibt es Textfelder mit der benennung der Komponenten, wenn ich diese auf meinem Windchill Account aufmache, sidne die Felder in einer anderen Location...
Wie kann ich dieses Probelm beheben?

SolidWorks dxf scale issue on publish
Hello all,
We're running 10.2 M030 and have customization to create .pdf and .dxf as Attachments to the drawing EPMDocument on publish.
The created attachment .dxf scaling is according to the sheet sizing when it should be 1:1. On the visualization server the SW Export setting was initially wrong, but enabling Scale output 1:1 did not help, ie. we tested that if just setting this correct with the user running the worker would fix the issue. A .slddrw was opened on the server, exported as .dxf with scaling 1:1 enabled and resulting .dxf was ok when opened. Assumption was that once Enable is selected it is then the default for the user running SW.
So the question is which setting does the worker look for when creating .dxf?

I am feeling that Baseline is representation of parts/documents at a particular time.
at the same time we are having the right to replace the parts/documents with new iteration or version then it is no longer a representation at a particular time. I would like to know what is the intention of Baseline.

How does your company define (and control) Obsolete objects?
I am curious how others define Obsolete and if there are any industry or national standards for the definition. Since the Search in Windchill will find the Latest + Released iteration, simply promoting an object to Obsolete doesn't really remove it from the search results, and users can see previously Released iterations on the History tab. We currently move Obsolete state objects to a restricted folder as well when they are considered Obsolete. Departments such as Warranty and Service still need access to objects that were manufactured and sold, so they have access to that folder. This then brings up the question of what defines Obsolete, because if something had a safety issue that caused it to become Obsolete most likely no one other than Engineering should have access. So, what does Obsolete mean to you, and how do you treat those objects? Thanks for all your thoughts and opinions.

Revise existing CAD Document Templates Point to new Start File rev
All,
Is it possible to point/modify an existing CAD Document Template to point to a new revision of our start parts? When creating the original CAD Document templates I noticed that I was forced to name them slightly different that the Creo model that I selected for that template. In the example below, I removed the letter "a" from the word part in the template name.
Creo model (our start parts in our library) = start_part.prt rev A
CAD Document Template name = start_prt.prt
Now we created a rev B of our Creo model and would like to update the CAD Document template to recognize the new revision.
Is it possible or do I need to create new templates?

How to Un-hide the subtypes of CAD Document in WC 10.0??

I have a 5 sub types of CAD Document. Recently i have deleted to Attributes from the EPM Document after that i could not able to see any of my sub types under CAD Document.
Can anyone help me to sort out the issue ASAP.
