My requirement is that if a folder in PDMLink product folder structure is empty it should be of "RED" colour otherwise normal colour.
Is it possible to achieve this?

WTPart Structure Visualization Tab
It appears the visualization tab in the structures browser window is very unstable. I have it open in IE and Chrome and in Chrome it displays a representation of the wrong graphics. The in IE the visualization is not displaying anything at all.
If I open the PSE and view the visualization they are correct. If I view the details page and open in Creo View the geometry is correct.
The case where the visualization is displaying in Chrome is displaying the Next Higher Assemblies graphics. I have attempted to republish the representation a couple time without success.
Anyone see this and have a resolution? Windchill 10.1 M040, Creo View Light 3.0 F000 & ProE Cadwroker Object Adapters 2.0 M040

Delete Unwanted Revision
I am trying to remove an unwanted revision. For example: There is revision A.1, A.2 and B.1. I would like to remove B.1.
The options available in Windchill are:
1. Delete all iterations of each object
2. Delete all revisions of each object
3. Delete latest iterations of each object
There doesn't seem to be an option to delete latest revision of each object. I choose #3 and I get an error message saying
Does anyone know how I can remove this one revision so that the file reverts back to A.2?

Applet not loading in Workgroup manager
Hey guys,
I've been mucking with this for a day or so now. I installed the workgroup manager for Windchill 10.1, and everything was fine. I believe this started after I installed Creo View.
It gets this far, and then stops loading. The pinwheel in the center keeps spinning, but I can't access anything further. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling all PTC products, and I deleted the entire PTC folder in Appdata/Roaming. Everything actually runs fine with regards to saving/opening files from windchill in Solidworks. (the DTI is also working fine, although my guess is that doesn't matter). It's not a huge deal, the applet still runs on chrome. I'm just the type of person that this sort of thing annoys to no end.
Any thoughts?

Windchill Calendar: Delegate
Is it possible to delegate your tasks to a group rather than an idividual user through the caldendar?
One thing that I have noticed and I'm wondering if anyone is experiencing this, when I try to get a list of users, not all users appear. I can locate the missing users through "find" when I actually insert the user name. I'm just wondering why some users are appearing and some don't.

CNs and Resulting Objects across containers issue
I'd like to know if anyone has addressed the following issue...
Use Case: A CN could contain resulting objects from more than one container. The problem is that the CN resolves the roles based on where the CN is mastered. If we have one group in an approving role in one container and another group in that same approving role in the other container, the case exists where the Resulting Objects not belonging to the container where the CN is mastered is released...by the wrong approving group.
How have you addressed this issue of having multiple Resulting Objects from multiple containers where there the role resolution places you in this situation? I hope that made sense. Thanks.

How to get folder of checked out part?
Hi.
I need to put created child parts to the parent part folder (all i do through java code).
If parent part wasn't checked out, then folder is defined corrrectly ( for example: wt.folder.Cabinet:103501<Default>) by code FolderHelper.service.getFolder((FolderEntry) parentPart).
But if parent part was checked out then FolderHelper.service.getFolder method returns something like that: wt.folder.SubFolder:48744<Checked Out>.
How can i get first result of checked out part?

Creo View Lite fails to open files
Thanks in advance for any helpful recommendations.
We recently upgraded Product View to Creo View Lite 2.0, datecode M040 build 15.
This has not been a good experience.
Many of our drawings will not open to be viewd and printed, and many means an everyday event.
The files that fail are "EPM: As Stored xxxxxx.dxf".
It appears that we may not have all the needed adapters in place, because there is no adapter (.inf) for a dxf.
Looking in: C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 2.0\View\Adapters
Is there an adapter required?
In the Options Drawing Viewer DXF-DWG a path statement for SHX exists as such: $PVIEW_HOME.i486_nt/realdwg/Fonts
Are more parameters required?
Does anyone have experience with this also?
If so what is the solution you have discovered?

Webroot SecureAnywhere & Windchill Cache
I posted this several months ago over on ptcuser but didn't get any responses. Posting here to see if I can get any feedback. Thanks.
Currently IT is experimenting with replacing McAfee Virus scan with Webroot SecureAnywhere. They've done this on several PCs as a test. McAfee had been set to ignore / not scan the Windchill cache as recommeded by PTC. However Webroot SecureAnywhere supposedly does not have a "don't scan files / activity in this folder" setting. Per Webroot, their software works differently so such a setting isn't necessary. I don't buy it, but I'm not a scanning software expert. Does anyone have experience with Webroot SecureAnywhere?

Basic retrieval of data using Java/SOAP?
My organization has an existing installation of Windchill and PDMLink and we are interested in integrating the Part and BOM data from those systems with third-party systems in the Enterprise. Our intention is to write a Java app that pulls data from Windchill/PDMLink and puts it into the other systems. We don't have a big ERP system, so we're not interested in doing heavy automated connectors -- we just want a simple way to retrieve data from Windchill using it's SOAP webservice.
Unfortunately, I can't find any documentation to get me started. I found some webservice documentation (http://<my windchill server>/Windchill/infoengine/jsp/tools/doc/index.jsp) but I don't know how to go about calling that webservice. Could somebody help point me in the right direction?
- How do I do a simple SOAP call to retrieve information from Windchill?
- If I get the Windchill installation files, is there an API or something I can include in my Java project?
- Is there somewhere I can find sample code for this scenario?

Citrix and Desktop Integration (DTI) - who has a need for this?
Desktop Integration (DTI) isn't supported for use in Citrix (multi-user environment). What happens is that the first user that logs in and starts using DTI, the process works for them but not subsequent users logging into that same environment. When that first person stops using it or logs off, it's available again for the next person to use it.
After working with PTC Product Management, R&D determined that supporting this would take some major rewriting of the DTI code to support a multi-user environment. I'd like to know if other companies have a need for using Citrix and DTI together so that we can get some more visibility to have this supported sooner rather than later.
As PTC products are moving toward being certified to work in a Citrix environment (Creo), PTC should be looking at it's entire product portfolio to be supported as well.
If your company has interest in using Citrx and DTI together, please respond to this post and let us know. The more companies that show interest in having this, the greater the chance in having PTC support it sooner than later. Thanks.

Or should i put it in codebase/WEB-INf/lib directory?

How to create a subscription to object events into a worklow ?
I would like to automatically create a subscription to object events inside a workflow, using java code.
looking into the windchill class documentation, I found that I should probably be using the following code :
wt.notify.NotificationHelper.manager.createObjectSubscription (wt.notify.NotificationSubscription, wt.notify.NotifySubscriptionRecipient, wt.notify.Notifiable, java.util.Hashmap<String, wt.fc.WTStringMap>, boolean)
but I found no explanation on how to get or build the parameters for this function.
I made some tries to create and initialise a wt.notify.NotificationSubscription object, a wt.notify.NotifySubscriptionRecipient object and a java.util.Hashmap<String, wt.fc.WTStringMap> object.
I used a cast on my primaryBusinessObject to get a wt.notify.Notifiable object.
But all without a lot of success.
Does somebody have a small working code example that would show how to use this createObjectSubscription function ?

deleting wt part from database
How to delete wtpart from database? I have deleted this 100-100-110 wtpart number from GUI. While renaming 100-100-220 by 100-100-110 giving error. Number is not unique. In GUI if I search for wtPart by 100-100-110 it is not searching. I need to delete from database. Can any one suggest me solution for this..
