Windchill Bulk Migrator Extractor Installation Failed with error build.xml :321: exec returned: 1

Hi All,

 

I am trying to install WBM Extractor on Windchill 10.1 M050 and it had failed every time whenever I try to install.

 

The build log is as below

I had followed one case provided by PTC. -

Can anyone help me in installing WBM Extractor ?

windchill webservice implementation

Hello All,


I am currently working on windchill OOTB webservice implementation. I have implemented the simple websservice to add two numbers and got sucessfull output at client side. Now i have developed a webservice to search a simple WTPart using it's number. The webservice is sucessfully deployed on the windchill webserver but when i have executed the client i got following error

Custom Role and Custom Lifecycle

Hi All,

 

Can you please answer the below questions in Lifecycle and Roles

 

1.)  I had created a custom role and a custom life cycle using enumcustomize. Without using enumcustomize can we create a new lifecycle or role in any other way? Can you please let me know ?

 

2.)  I had created a new role using enumcustomize and I had added it to the PRODUCT -> TEAM -> ROLES. However whenever I tried creating a new Advanced Lifecycle in Lifecycle template administration and then when I navigate to ROLES Tab I am not able to find the new role that I created there. So can you please let me know about it once like how to get the new role there ?

AdHoc ACL

Hi All,

 

Please answer my questions below on ACL's

 

1. What is the difference between an ACL and an Adhoc ACL ?

2. How do we enable Adhoc ACL's ? Like we will have to configure the system in such a way where within one organization we will have to allow authorized users to define Adhoc ACL's for all products and libraries. So how do we implement it ? Can you please let me know regarding the same ?

We are looking to use ProjectLink for "Request for Quote" process.  What I would like to do is, once the project starts automatically close the project after a set number of days.  Basically what I am trying to do is stop suppliers from accessing data after a set amount of time programmatically.  Any input would be great.

Create new wtpart and Revise access controls

Hi Everyone,

 

I am wondering if we can control who can create a wtpart at a given state (In Work), but now allow a larger group of users can can revise to that same Lifecycle but not create at that lifecycle?

 

We have a solution in adding a new "creation" lifecycle but wondering if we can do the same with access controls.

problem with OOB ESI configuration is sending un-released child parts with Assy

Hi everyone,

We are implementing ESI to send the wtpart information to Oracle.

Its all working great so far with the exception of one problem.

 

When a revised version of a  Assembly wtpart is sent to Oracle (ERP) on the workflow, the ESI code is also sending all the child parts to Oracle at whatever version they are at. This is fine if all the child parts are also Released on the workflow (change object) together. The problem is that if at anytime a child part is revised from Released to In Work to the next Version then that un-official version would also be sent to Oracle (for ESI code).

 

Assembly Ver. B "In Work" > Ver. B "Released = sent to Oracle

Part1 Ver. B "Released = sent to Oracle (ignored as it already was published when Released)

Part2 Ver.C "In Work" = sent to Oracle when Assembly is sent.

 

Does anyone know if there is a setting that can be configured to only:

Send the wtparts on the workflow to Oracle

Send only the official "Released" state parts to Oracle (Assembly and all child parts at Released).

Need a custom BOM Query

Hi PDM Gurus,

 

I need to make an enhanced BOM Query in Windchill 10.1 M040. If the data comes out in a reasonable way a query using the QueryBuilder tool (under Org or Site/Utilities/Report Management) would be enough; I'd rather not try to dive into Cognos if I don't have to, but I don't quite know what links to put where, what objects to put in the From tab, what Joins etc...need some help on this.

 

REQUIRED INPUT: A parent part number and revision selector (with the default option selecting Latest)

NICE TO HAVE INPUT: The ability to put in multiple part numbers and it would do all of them at once

OPTIONAL INPUT: Toggle selectors on several of the part Attributes to turn on or off if they show in the data, like Name, Description, Context, some custom Global ones we've added, etc...

 

OUTPUT:

 

A full multi-level BOM printout of the parent(s) selected showing their layers. The requested parent is level 0, a first-level child would be level 1, a child of that would be level 2 and it would break out that object's BOM in full before moving on to the next level 1 child, etc...and the data columns displayed for each entry would be the part number, quantity and the list of toggle-selected attributes.

 

Does anyone have any idea on how I can do this? I've tried making one with Joins between Part, Parts List, etc...it doesn't come out properly.

Attach PDF as secondary content of Drawings

Hi all,

 

My requirement is to create a PDF for all the Drawings that are checked-in.

I've already tried Post Publish Delegate but this method creates an additional WTDocument for the PDF. However, I want the PDF to be attached as secondary content of the drawing itself instead of a new WTDocument.

 

Is it possible to do so, please help me with a solution.

ESI Failure during Windchill-SAP Integration Process

In our Windchill-SAP Integration, configuration is such that when Promotion Request is in "Approved" Life cycle state, the ESI Integration happens but we want it to happen only for WTParts and not other object types. In present case, whenever the Promotion Request is in Approved State, ESI Integration Starts. Since we integrate only WTPart with SAP, it is fine for us but we dont integrate WTDocuments, so we get ESI Failure Message. Please suggest how to ensure that ESI Integration is happening only for WTParts.

In WINDCHILL Real number Attribute showing in the object detail page 14 place decimal scientific notation. How can I display 3-digit decimal standard after decimal for WEIGHT ATTRIBUTE IN windchill as Type REAL NUMBER??.
