Just did our production upgrade this past weekend (9.1 > 10.2 M020). All good except one thing.
The defaultsystemvault and defaultsystemfolder come up Read Only + after Windchill restart. Can manually set to not Read Only. Didn't have this in multiple upgrade rehearsals. Had all users in training last week on the to-be production 10.2 system and didn't have this issue.
Ideas on what would cause this? We have a tech support case pending - just pinging other users for ideas.
How to restrict the users from initiating a change request only on released (State) drawings?
I have created an ALIAS attribute and it display the data duplicate so many times as iteracions I have about the document mapped.
When you use the following syntax, the following results are the expected ones :
Syntax: name=name@wt.doc.WTDocument~[IBAttribute]
Result: comma separated list of IBA values of all the iterations of the WTDocument
Here is a result of my test if I have 2 iterations:
Alias: test OTM, test OTM
I have tried also the following but it did not get the wanted value :

I have a workflow for a WTReferenceDocument soft type object. I also have custom attributes for the object. Once the workflow has started, I would at some point like to route the workflow based on the value of the attribute. How would I write the Routing expression in the conditional connector. Case in point, the possible values for the attribute are "Tim, Tom, Barry or Steve", The name of the attribute "Judge" and the object is a soft type of the WTReferenceDocument called. Summons.

Recently we went through an upgrade from Windchill 10.0 M020 to Windchill 10.2 M020.
Every aspect and function was successfully tested post upgrade with one major failure : The ability to Upload modified 3D models back into Windchill did not work.
With further investigation it was realized that only users with Creo 2.0 M110 and above were affected while all users with Creo 2.0 M070 and below were easily able to perform their CAD modifications, uploads and check-ins. We verified the vault upload functionality worked with documents and uploads of EPMDocuments from the older builds of Creo 2.0.

We have tried clearing the cache of workspaces, browsers, java, config.pro and modification of the system environment variables for the users effected with no resolution. We opened a ticket with PTC and have been working that the past week with no resolution.
Windchill Setup:
Windows Sever 2008 R2
Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 -64 bit
Windchill 10.2 M020(version.txt attached)
2 Foreground Method servers , 2 background method servers
Creo Setup:
Windows 7 32 and 64-bit
Java 1.7 u 6x or higher
Creo 2.0 Parametric M110 or higher
Has anyone seen this issue before and does anyone have a method to fix or suggestions on what to troubleshoot? Also curious what all is included in the upload Cache Descriptor.

Can someone help me to fetch metadata of an attribute using customization?
Am using WC PDM link 10.2 M030. There is an attribute a custom attribute "Awarenesslist" on the subtype of "Managed Baseline" object.
I want to fetch the metadata of this attribute using WC customization. The metadata includes default values, constraints, visibilty and other attribute properties.

Documents are not opening properly in product view using Internet Explorer, after opening a document in product view next windows opens but everything displays grey there. Anyone have any idea ?

First of all we use M050 and 2.0 release.
We're trying to hide part which i use only for reference on my assembly. We use some parts just for review but when i get e-bom report i don't want to see those parts on the list and on the drawing table.
So our advisor found a solution like this;
Opening the "Parameter" window when assembly window is opened, and on the parameter window we select component option for choosing reference parts, and choosing which parts that we don't want to see on e-bom report and drawing table, then adding a parameter name as "REFERENCE" and selecting its type as "YES or NO" then if we write "yes" we select this part as reference.
For hiding this part on table we add a reference column and add rule on the table like this: &asm.mbr.cparam.REFERENCE!=YES
After that we can hide those parts that we dont want to see on the table and on the e-bom just with button that we creat we hide the reference parts.
In a word we make this process as simple/automatic as we can so we can eliminate the human mistakes.
Now i want to ask;
-Is there any more simple solution for this process?
-When we choose a part as reference we don't want to see it's weight on the table, because you know it's a reference part... How can hide the reference parts' weight?
-If you know a better solution for hiding parts on e-bom and on the table can you explain please? P.s: We just want this process on the solid model, so -we don't want to hide parts on the table with filtering option.

I have a situation that needs some advice on how to handle the same. We have been using Windchill for quite some time now. During our usage of BOM we have identified that the End product BOM always pulls for the latest version of the child parts irrespective of the version or state of the End Product. Will explain with an example now:
Say i have an End Product named "A" with below details
| Part Numbers | Version | State |
| A | 10.4 | Released |
| A1 | 2.1 | Released |
| A2 | 3.7 | Released |
| Now the Product and Parts are revised for change as below | ||
| Part Numbers | Version | State |
| A | 11.0 | Inwork |
| A1 | 3.0 | Inwork |
| A2 | 4.0 | Inwork |
| The problem is Now, when i go to old versions of Product A and retrive the BOM it displays the latest states of Parts irrespect of what state it was release then, example | ||
| A | 5.5 | Released |
| A1 | 3.0 | Inwork |
| A2 | 4.0 | Inwork |
Is this how Windchill Normally behaves, i felt if this is the case then at any point of time no body will be able to retrive a old BOM.
Any help on this will be really appreviable.

Need to perform some administering tasks and data altering on productive Windchill environment (but not cluster) that can take a few days.
The users should be prevented to alter the system in this time.
What is the recommended way to prevent login or to set the system on read-only for all the users except admin.

Hi! I need to delete some attribute (not IBA). And how can I difine layouts of all objects that contains some attribute?
Is there an easy way to add a custom attribute only to a specific task in a workflow? For example, in the OOTB Change Notice workflow there is an Audit task. How would I add an attribute to this task only?

my we are preparing to migrate to Windchill 10.2. With this we are going to put Creo View 3.0 Lite as our preview.
Creo View itself as a standalone programs works fine and stable. If you open it through Windchill through the IE there is also no problem.
BUT if you open files via creo browser which actually is nothing different but an IE (at least I think it is), it crashes after a few seconds of moving or rotating the model. If you move a model just in the preview window everything freezes for about 2-5 minutes.
I tried different Java Versions, workstations and grapic drivers. Also a WF5 M250 and a Creo 2.0 M120. No success.
Anyone having these problems too? Because I got no idea how to fix this.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
