Here at my place of employment we have Windchill to manage all of our SolidWork’s data. Recently we upgraded our SolidWork’s from 2013 to 2015 and now all of the cad data that is in Windchill is still in SolidWork’s 2013 format which causes errors every time we need to change an assembly drawing/assembly. Is there a way to update all of the cad data on the server to the newest SolidWork’s release??

Is HP-UX V11i-V3 virtualization supported for Windchill 9.1M070 on Integrity-itanium? If yes.. have the following questions.
How is the HP-UX virtualization licensing and cost? We are planning to have the test server and production server on the same server but on two different virtual machines- so is a 4 core 24GB RAM machine ok for 11 active CAD users? This is a planned upgrade from 8.0M30 to 9.1

We are working with SiteMinder so our users will have one less click(what will the folks do with all of that free time!) but because Windchill(PDMLink 10.2 M020) uses the '#' sign as an anchor character, wi have issues when Siteminder authenticates. Users at another NASA have done a workaround to send the authentication to another web page first to translate the '#' sign to a 23 then turn it back to the '#' symbol. Just wondering if there are any folks using siteMinder and have experienced a similar issue. Thanks in advance and Geaux Tigers!
Have seen this in the community already, so apologies for the duplication.
Anytime our users click a hyperlink from an Office Product (might even be more) and they don't have an authenticated session established to Windchill through SSO, the URL is getting truncated. I have been round and round with our Web/SSO teams, PTC TS and the EDC, and we are still nowhere closer to a solution.
I have seen a solution where the URL gets sent off for manipulation before going to SSO...basically encoding the # character...not sure how to do that or even if that will be acceptable in our landscape.

I am curious if someone has done this. It does not look like it is straight forward using infoengine. So wondering, if anyone has used infoengine to get workflow intruction, variables, and voting options of an open task.

The PLM area are growing to cover more and more of traditional ERP domains. With IoT and digital twins follows the needs to store the configuration of the physical product over time (As-Build and As-Maintained structure). In Windchill we can manage part configurations and part instances, but there is limitations aw the instance structure can be changed/maintained independently over time. What is PTC´s recommendation to meet this need? What products or solution is covering the use case?

We are weighing software options for advancing our management of product development projects. We're evaluating tools in our ERP system (Infor Syteline), a custom tool and possibly Windchill ProjectLink, as we use PDMLink for managing project related information (primarily CAD). A couple of resources have told me ProjectLink really isn't a tool that allows you to manage resources, predict and track project timing, integrate cleanly with tools such as MS Project (contrary to PTC's literature) etc. - that it was more of a way to more easily share information, including CAD data, in a less controlled "sandbox" format as product is in early development / "what -ifed" versus later pre-production or released to production phases of its lifecycle which might be more tightly controlled in PDMLink. Is this accurate? Any experience based advice / words of wisdom / opinions on the capabilities and proper application of ProjectLink?

So, we just completed our update to 10.2 and everyone is getting back into the swing of things.
One item I'm having trouble fixing is how to add an attachment to a Change Notice (or a Change Task). In 10.1 there was a little java drag and drop icon in the are circled. It's missing in 10.2 even with the compatible java version (8u25+).
I tried a few searches in Knowledge base with no success.
Can anyone spare a clue and let me know what I'm missing here?

Now I would like to automatically check-in this EPMDocument into the commonspace via a Java code, so that not only the person who created the document can see it in his workspace but also everyone else. I tried to use a method robot (for check in) for this, but that caused an error.
Can anyone please help me or point me in the right direction?
