We have an issue when we start Creo2.
Almost every morning we have to start twice because we get a "fatal error..." popup at first start up.
it is as follows> start Creo2>logon password>click on Work space then the error occurs.......
if Creo2 is closed during the day and we start again, we can have several "Fatal error...." pop ups before getting thru to server

With Options & Variants capability in windchill 9.1, how we can build the rules (Parameters, expressions, constraints, case tables, etc.,) to drive the quantity of an item under an Advanced Configurable Part?
Example:
Consider the below BOM:
Top_Part (Adv Config Part)
Part1 (for option1) Qty - 1
Part2 (for option2) Qty - 2
Part3 (for both options) Qty - 2 Meters for Option1 and 5 Meters for Option2
While configuring, selecting option1 should result in:
Top_Part
Part1 Qty - 1
Part3 Qty - 2 Meters
Selecting option2 should result in:
Top_Part
Part2 Qty - 2
Part3 Qty - 5 Meters

I am trying to create a database script from which I can get the any business object team --> (group, Role ) --> users as of now I am able to get the Object team and roles but in Role I am not able to get users from the Roles can any one please help how I can find this

I think the straight forward way is to Move the Folder/Files, PR's, CR, CN's.
Anyone have an experience doing this?
I'm mostly concerned how active workflows for CN's will transfer to the new context. Does this occur without issue?

I am Rehosting(Rename) in Windchill 10.2 M030 using Rehosting Utility 3.0,
I have tried in Test server its succesfully rehosted, however i am doing the same in Production Server,Methods server couuld not able to start.

Hope everyone had an amazing new year.
I am working on Corporate LDAP integration with Windchill. All is done and everything is working as expected. Now the client wants us to map Alternate User Name attribute in Users details page to one of the Corp LDAP attributes. And Alternate User Name is an OOTB Windchill attribute available for all the users.
Now I know we can map User's attributes thorough "additional properties section in JNDI adapter configuration". The problem is that the mapping exists for a most of the OOTB attributes (Email, Full name, last name etc..,). But there is no mapping available for Alternate User Name. I couldn't find it anywhere. Please let me know if you have any information for mapping this particular attribute.

It's that time of year again when 1-1=0.
I use the Get_Month - 1 calculation to capture the work items created last month.
Problem is in January the month = 1
For some reason 1 minus 1 does not equal 12...
Has anyone a better way to get a criteria for 'last month'?
This goes into a Cognos report, so I'm not able to use the 'last month' attributes when running the report with Report Builder

I have 2 users that are frequently "losing" files. I'm 99.9% sure it's due to them deleting workspaces before checking in files or deleting the workspace contents. Are there any log files that I can reference to confirm what they are doing to lose this data?
Can anyone explain how to get a Change Activity Task's 'Need Date' to display in My Task table? Only Deadline is available. It's not a column option in the Customize Table menu. Need date is important for the assignee to prioritize work, and... know when the task is due as the field would indicate.
ProjectLink Plan Activities 'Estimated Date' appear, and that is great for the assignee to know when it's needed. Although I'd prefer to have similar nomenclature for need by date for all windchill Tasks, but I'll take it.
Or provide some feedback as to how you deal with it (workaround, or notifying assignee when work is needed), and or why it's not available so I can take some satisfaction in a rational.

Last week I updated my test server from 10.2 m020 csp08 to 10.2 m030 cps09. After starting Windchill, the java.exe processes are staying constant in Memory size. They are not releasing memory like they had been. Is this something new or something broken?

PTC recieves a fair amount of questions about providing an integration to Office365 lately. I'm curious if there's folks out there using Office365 now and what type of connectivity you'd like to have with Windchill?
To me, the main difference is the option to use the Microsoft Office Web Applications instead of the locally installed Office applications and the content has a high probability of residing in the O365 cloud, OneDrive or an on-premise SharePoint implementation. The Office Web Apps are only supported on SharePoint and cannot be directly integrated into a non-SharePoint solution.
It seems like a "Send to Windchill" option would be nice to have, but I'm curious if there are any other use cases or needs people might have?

We are in the middle of implementing PDM Essentials and Creo here. Until we are fully up and running, we need to be able to publish pdfs of drawing to a folder outside of PDMlink/windchill. We would like only production state drawings to publish to the specified folder once the state is changed. So first question is how do I publish a pdf'd drawing outside of windchill? where/how do I write a rule that makes it publish when the state is changed? The plan is to save all the drawing history in Windchill, but only the latest production drawing will be visible in the network folder.
