Creo View default window size ?

Is it possible to change the default size when Creo View launches from the info page thumbnail ?

Looking at the URL it looks like:

If I manually change the '800" and '650' values at the end of the URL, Creo View will launch at the desired screen size.  Is there any way to modify the windchill files that control launching Product View to a new default window size ? We're running 9.1 and using Creo View 3.

Hi All,

 

I am trying to implement Auto Suggest picker (SuggestTextBox) on WTDocument/WTPart creation wizard in Windchill 10.1. Does anybody have done this before?

Can anyone please help me on this?

Forms in Windchill PDMLink (or ProjectLink)

I am looking for others in the PTC/USER community that have an interest in creating and managing forms in Windchill.  The business case I have in mind are a few forms that are related to parts and and it would be nice to have them in Windchill to take advantage relating them and integrating the forms' workflows and/or incorporating them in change object workflows.

 

If you interested in any situation where you would like a form as an object in Windchill, please send me a message or post to this discussion.

Windchill PDMLink 10.2 M030 Installed with errors at Business Reporting

Hi All,

 

I've installed Windchill PDMLink 10.2 M030. The installation has been completed  but  with leaving two error at Business Reporting and Business reporting language pack.

Unable to find the reason for this.

Request you to suggest me  how to resolve.

How do I create a new information element, copied from an existing, within an Information Structure? If I copy an information element, the document number carries with it.

I'm trying to create a new information element, copied from an existing information element, within an information structure.  If I simply perform a copy/paste, the resulting copy carries the same attributes (document number, revision, etc....) of the original.

I am getting a LDAP response read timed out while triggering ESI RTM Worklfow.

The transactions are stuck in pending and no ESIOutput is generated. Workfow is in running state as well.

Change Request - Layout Change

Hi All,

     I have been working on implementing Change management (OOTB). As i progress, i was willing to know, if it is possible to change to ootb layout as per our old format of CR's.

 

Currently, we are using excel for creating CR's.

The current CR in excel contains data of "what parts are deleted / added / qty modified" in an assembly. See attached screen capture for reference.

 

Can some one help me out to tell if this is possible to do it in WC OOTB. .If so any guides would be greatly helpful

Can anyone tell me how to get the tasks of a Changenotice/Change request/Change Task in java code.

for eg: "Complete ChangeNotice". I need to know the status of this task in the java code.

Hello everyone,


I am wondering if any one of you have benchmarked Windchill against Teamcenter and/or PLM360 from Autodesk.


I know that there are many aspects to consider and what can be good for one company may not be suitable for another one. However, as I have worked with Windchill for over 8 years now, I would like to stay with this software in my new company and therefore try to ensure we select Windchill.


We will soon consider those 3 solutions. So if you have (not too old) information about those software and why Windchill is better this will help my case ;)


So far we have Inventor with Vault

"List choices order" for LDAP Groups

Hello

After uppgrading from ver WQS10.1 to WQS 10.2 the posibility ty select "List choices order" for LDAP Groups is no longer avaliable in the data definition setup, (se pictures bellow). Is this functionality removed for LDAP-groups in WQS 10.2 or is it my setup that is corrupted? Works for other list objects.

How to build a Remote Apache Webserver for Internet access to Windchill

Hi,

 

We currently have an internal user only Windchill PDMLink System and we now have a requirement to allow select customer users to securely access the system over the Internet. I intend to do this build building an additional Apache Server (Remote Apache Web Server) located in a secure DMZ on a hardened Linux server, with an updated Apache install.

 

For security reasons, I intend to build a minimal Redhat Linux server to host this Apache Server, but I know from previous experience that it can be difficult to install & administer such a system if you don't get the minimal OS build right in the first place - too few packages and nothing works, too many and it's a security risk.

 

Does anyone have any recommendations here - will the default Redhat Minimal Package Selection install be OK for what I need?

I would prefer not to install all the Redhat Graphical System environment for security reasons, but is it even possible to run the PTC installer(s) from the command line?

 

When it comes to Apache, is it best to manually "roll your own" Apache straight from apache.org and overlay the PTC Windchill Apache config and Ant installation onto it, or is it OK to use the (slightly older) "Early Release" version of Apache that is available for download from the PTC Website that already has the PTC Windchill Apache config applied to it and tested?

 

As I mentioned, I wanted as minimal a software Installation as possible on this server, so is it possible to just install Apache from the PTC supplied "Early Release" version of Apache, or do you need to first run the PSI that comes with the original Windchill release and install the original Apache (and I think Java might be necessary?), and then use the Apache "Early Release" download to replace the OOTB Apache version with the newer version?

 

Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to answer some/all of my questions, and if anyone has any other sage advice on building a secure Internet facing Apache server for Windchill, then I would welcome the advice.

How to start 'windchill profiler' on slave machine, in cluster environment?

Windchill is installed on cluster environment & profiler works on BMS but not on Slaves, it gives error on slave 'Unable to connect to Windchill', no prompt for credentials.

Hi Experts,

 

I am trying to install windchill on oracle server 12c. But the installation fails giving "Connection to the database failed or OCU failed to execute the query". I am using monolithic architecture  ie all on one system(Windchill and database server). I am not able to resolve this issue. If some one has installed windchill oracle plz help me to find the issue.I am attaching the OCU as well as PSI logs. Guys please help me.

James Mail Server Integration With Windchill

Hi All,

 

I've installed Windchill 10.2 M030 in test machine and would like to integrate windchill with James Mail Server.

 

So, for that I've downloaded and configured James Mail(Apache James 2.3.2)  by adding some users of my domain.

 

After this, set below property through xconfmanager in Windchill shell

 

xconfmanager -t codebase/wt.properties -s wt.mail.malhost=plm.adroitecinfo.com:25

(plm.adroitecinfo.com is  host name of my server)

 

Now, I'm trying to send a sample document from my Windchill to one user which I've already added while configuring James, but unable to get any mail.

 

Note: I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird as mail client in my Windchill test server.

 

As I'm trying this for first time, I need suggestions to overcome this problem.

Kindly request you to help me out.
